I just switched TVs on my HTPC and now romshelf not fitting to the screen correctly. the left side of my screen is cut off and makes it hard to read the names of the games. any thoughts on how i might fix that? thanks!
Amazing job, Badspot. I really love the game. Quick question, Badspot, if you would answer it, If I Blockland on Steam, would it be a demo? I've heard people say it is, but i'm not sure. Please respond. :D
after the Okiver Scare and the Zapk Fiasco,(which just pushed the lacking of quality servers point over the edge) I'm starting to lose interest in this game, and unless there is a HUGE change in the community (something beyond badspot's control i assume) It's just going to push me away, which is unfortunate as i do like this game, but like all good games (or anything that has a following for that matter), communities tend to take it too far...
Even simply appearing angry all the time is enough to turn people away from buying your game. Stop being so hostile or people will think you are trying to be a dick, even if it's not the case.
"Get fucked. I don't owe you anything."
You can't seriously give this as a ban reason and not look like a dick to people. It's 100% true that only emotionless automatons are valued online.
You don't want to give emotion. You want to state why the opponent is wrong and why you are right. Doing anything else gives room for the opponent to interpret you as the bad guy.

Blockland is the all-you-can-eat buffet where you have to make your own food. At least, you are given the materials, so it's not bad at all. But then they decide to remove tables because they are ugly and replace it with pretty napkins and garnishes.
Why do you need tables when you can just make them out of food? It's the same thing.
After this, the "buffet" has been around for several years and people were already getting tired of it, so they start giving it negative reviews. The owner responds by yelling at these people.
All this yelling leaves little time for content upgrades.
I've used romshelf for a little while now with no issue. .. Then the other day instead of opening into the system selection screen, it opens the options menu like it's the first time is ever run... But there are no systems available to select and the input control options have all been wiped. Help!
I have to agree with Gamer.Ex, it that I don't consider EvE a game, and that changes how one views and uses it. I'm no EvE fan boy, coming and going over the years, but I have found ways to enjoy it. It most circumstances, it's been doing so with others w/VOIP. Can't say I've ever had much fun by myself. Even though it can be manic (bouts of extreme adrenalin only matched by periods of boredom), there's always SOME WAY to SIMULATE something. If I want to be a bad guy, I can be, if I want to manipulate markets, I can...If I want to try corporate espianage, I can... If I just want to pew pew NPCs, I can... If I just want to auto-mine 'roids while reading a book, I can... and sadly, if I'm an infantile who gets off robbing/griefing/annoying people of their hard earned ships and isk, I also can. I've lived in high-sec, null-sec, and class 6 wormholes... there is pros & cons to all. It's what you make of it, because EvE's devs sure as hell aren't going to simple give you prepackaged fun.
Good job completely missing the point goldstein. He was implying what you said sarcastically, just saying "strawman" doesnt really help your argument either
"I have literally no choice but to eat here" The buffet is right next to Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and Roblox, which still regularly receive similar meals in the exact same cuisine style.
It's not as if the old Blockland players are actually stopping anyone foolish enough to buy the game.
Blockland's recieved very few content updates in years. Version 21 introduced the new game-modes system, as if different game modes were physically impossible before.
If this is the best you can respond to criticism, with a lazy, stereotyped straw man to argue with, I don't think anybody can help you.
In fact, most players have pretty much left or are slowly playing less and less by the day. The least Eric can do is respond to criticism with calm counter-arguments and control his anger to some extent.
